Silviya Taseva is the 2nd Runner up winner “Miss Bulgaria in USA” and two times “Best Talent” winner for both, “Miss Bulgaria in USA” and “Miss Diaspora Models International”. She has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of the professional sports, dance and art performing as modern and lyrical jazz dancer, as a world-class rhythmic gymnast, fire performer, an aerialist, rhythmic gymnastics coach and choreographer for many different dance companies, variety of shows, gymnastics team events and competitions. She has a solid educational foundation in sports science by attending a sports high school “Vassil Levski” before going on to achieve a bachelor degree from the National Sports Academy in Sofia
Born in Bulgaria, Silviya has begun her Rhythmic Gymnastics training and a competitive career as an athlete at the age of 4, coached by one of the world’s most famous gymnastics coaches, Ms. Neshka Robeva, Lili Ignatova, Branimira Markova, and Luchia Gencheva. She was invited to join the Bulgarian National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team in Sofia at the age of 12. Silviya’s personal achievements include: Gold Medalist of Rhythmic Gymnastics World Team Cup, Bronze Medalist at the European Championship, 5-time Bulgarian National Champion, as well as being a medalist in numerous International, Grand Prix and World Qualification Tournaments. Retiring from her carrier as a professional athlete, she was invited to assist the Bulgaria junior and the senior national team groups.
After finishing with her professional carrier as gymnastics competitor, Silviya continued developing her skills in the dance and art performing world. With her strong background and unique technique with gymnastics props Ribbon, Ball, Hoop, Rope and Clubs, she has become a professional and well experienced gymnastics, contortion and fire performer. She also has gained an extensive experience as a modern, contemporary and lyrical jazz dancer, stage performer, aerialist and model. She has been auditioning and performing for multiple TV shows, music videos, commercials, dance and modeling shows, beauty pageants and others. The most significant of which are: the highest rated TV shows in Bulgaria, “Slavi’s show”, “Hushove”, the sports TV show “Formula+” and the intellectual TV show in Doha, Qatar “Stars of Science”. She performed for the well-known dance companies in Bulgaria, “Diva”, “Magadance” and “Asia”. Silviya also performed as a rhythmic gymnast, contortionist and fire performer for the world famous entertainment companies from NYC, “Phoenix Entertainment”, “Aerial Artistry” and “Heliummm Aerial dance & Entertainment”. She also has had the honor to share the same stage with many famous national and international singers and performers. Some of them are the girls from Pussy Cat Dolls, the Israeli pop singer Ishtar, the Italian dancer and singer In-Grid, the American singer-songwriter John Legend and with one of the most popular Bulgarian singers Slavi Trifonov and Ku-Ku Band, Dessi Dobreva, Petia Bueklieva, Kristina Dimitrova, Duet Riton, Lusy and many more.
After moving to the USA, Silviya was invited to work as a coach and choreographer for the US Gymnastics Team. In addition, she has been the head coach of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior Group Team of the U.S., who are the current 2-time National Champions of the USA. She also has had numerous of her gymnasts, multiple champions and medalist in many US State, Region, National and International Gymnastics Championships. Silviya has acted as a personal coach for various world famous celebrities, including the daughter of the pop icon Madonna. She has been coaching and choreographing for the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team of Puerto Rico. Silviya has the honor to be the choreographer of the upcoming show on Broadway, “The Last Days of Pompeii”.
Silviya has trained and grew up among the best of the best and has practiced in one of the hardest systems created in the rhythmic gymnastics world. She prides herself on being flexible and versatile and always able to maintain a sense of humor under pressure. Her colleagues would say she is poised and competent with demonstrated ability to easily transcend cultural differences. Silviya thrives in deadline-driven environments and she possesses excellent team-building skills.
